Leona has over 20 years' experience in the construction industry gained through working for a number of tier one contractors and progressing to her current role of Pre-Construction Commercial Manager at Wordsworth Construction Management.
Having a varied career prior to venturing into construction, Leona retrained and achieved a first class degree in Construction Management. She was also awarded the University of Huddersfield Construction Cup for her efforts - the first female recipient of this prestigious accolade.
Leona has been involved in several high profile projects and has worked on retail, health, leisure and has a passion for heritage schemes.
Although her construction experience stems from an estimating background, Leona now leads the commercial and procurement aspects of projects through her knowledge of pre and post contract commercial management and through her extensive procurement and supply chain relationships.
