The scheme delivered 353 beds across three separate blocks. We carried out a full pre-construction role on a conversion of 6 storey office building into 9 storey, 181 bedroom student accommodation, providing a mixture of studio and cluster flats.
Two 8-9 storey new build blocks were constructed providing 172 additional rooms. The new blocks were constructed with a concrete frame with brickwork and rainscreen clad facade. In our role as pre-construction managers we worked through inefficiencies of the previous design and worked collaboratively with the client and whole project team to achieve a bespoke product of studio apartments.
A key role was to get the scheme from mid planning design to start on site within 13 weeks.
